Pressure system cleaned up and upgraded.
We replaced the old galvanized pressure tank and unsupported above-ground plumbing, rerouted the piping underground, added a riser for future connections, raised the pump, and repaired the cracked well casing.
The old galvanized tank relied on an air-charging system using two bleeders, a check valve, and a snifter valve. Because air gradually dissolves into the water, the system has to replenish that air as the pump cycles to maintain the proper air charge.
We upgraded the system to a captive-air pressure tank, where the water and air are separated by a heavy-duty butyl rubber diaphragm. This eliminates the old air-charging setup and provides a simpler, cleaner system with less plumbing to maintain.
