Step-by-step installation:

1) Plan your mounting spot. Choose a location 7–10 feet above ground for the best sensor range and avoid pointing the sensor at other light sources. Clear away branches or foliage to prevent false triggers and battery drain.

2) Safety first. Turn off the power at the main breaker to ensure a safe working environment.

3) Remove the old fixture and verify wiring. Use a non-contact voltage tester to confirm the wires are dead.

4) Mount the bracket. Attach the new mounting bracket from your light kit to the junction box.

5) Make the electrical connections. Connect white neutrals together and black hots together with wire nuts.

6) Ground it. Attach the green or bare copper ground wire to the grounding screw on the bracket.

7) Attach and seal. Mount the light to the bracket and apply a thin bead of silicone caulk around the base plate to seal out moisture.

8) Power up and fine-tune. Turn the power back on and adjust the sensor angle and timer settings as needed.

Handydads Step-by-Step: How to install a garbage disposal (safe, practical, and doable). Follow these steps and you’ll reduce leaks and wire tensions.

1) Safety first: Turn off power at the main breaker; place a bucket under the sink; gather tools.
2) Remove the old drain: Disconnect existing drain pipes; loosen mounting bolts; remove old sink fl**ge.
3) Prep the new fl**ge: Clean the opening; apply plumber's putty; press fl**ge into drain opening from above. From underneath, slide mounting ring and backup ring onto the fl**ge and tighten screws evenly.
4) Wire and dishwasher prep: If adding a dishwasher, remove the knockout plug. Connect power cord to the unit using color-matched wires, wire nuts, strain relief clamp.
5) Mount and connect: Lift disposal, align with mounting ring, lock tabs by turning lower ring clockwise. Connect discharge tube to disposal and P-trap with gaskets.
6) Test and seal: Turn water on; check for leaks at fl**ge and connections. Turn power back on; run cold water to test for proper operation. Recheck all connections after a minute.
