One of the most common questions I receive during summer is, β€œWhy are my plants struggling even though I’m watering them?”

The truth is, how you water is just as important as how often you water.

Watering at the wrong time, soaking the leaves instead of the roots, or giving your plants only a little water each day can all make it harder for your garden to thrive, especially during hot Los Angeles summers.

The good news? These are simple habits to change, and your plants will thank you for it! πŸ’š

Your garden may not be failing. It may simply be asking for a summer reset. 🌿

Los Angeles heat can dry out soil quickly, stress plants, slow production, and invite more pests. If your garden is showing several of these signs, this is now YOUR SIGN to refresh it.

It's easy to compare your garden to someone else's, but every thriving garden started exactly where yours did: with one seed, one small step, and a commitment to keep showing up.

The harvest always comes to those who stay consistent. πŸ’š Happy Monday!

One of the most common mistakes I see in the garden isn't what people water, it's how they water! πŸ’¦

When you water, aim for the base of the plant, not the leaves. This helps the roots absorb the moisture where it's needed most and can reduce the risk of fungal diseases that thrive on constantly wet foliage.

I also recommend watering deeply and slowly, preferably early in the morning. This gives your plants time to soak up the water before the heat of the day causes it to evaporate.

How do you usually water your garden? Let me know in the comments! πŸ’š

Here's a look at my latest patio garden bed project! πŸ₯Ή I love showing that even smaller spaces have the potential to grow an abundance of vegetables, herbs, and flowers when they're planned with intention.

Would you grow a garden like this? Let me know in the comments! πŸ’š
