What you don’t see is everything that had to happen before that photo was possible.

Framing had to be right. MEPs had to be coordinated. Drywall had to be installed and finished. Exterior work had to be completed. Inspections had to happen. And plenty of small decisions had to be made along the way. That’s the part of construction we don’t want to skip over.

The finished product matters, but so does everything it took to get there.

This project wasn’t just one space. We were working on the main house and the detached garage, which meant keeping different parts of the build moving without letting one hold up the other.

Project Albers started with 9 parking spaces inside an existing multifamily property in North Hollywood. Today, that same space has been turned into two completed ADUs.

It’s a good example of why we look at what a property already has before deciding what can be built. The right plan can turn underused space into something that actually adds to the property. Here’s a look at the finished result.

This 3,500 sq ft, 2-story multifamily project in Burbank has 4 units, and the major construction work is now largely behind us.

The exterior is painted and stuccoed, roofing is complete, and inside, the walls are painted, flooring is installed, and the kitchens are in with cabinets and appliances. Recessed lighting, HVAC, interior doors, and trim are also in place. Now we’re working through the last details, including punch-list items, touch-ups, and cleanup before turnover.

For a 4-unit build like this, the final stretch is about making sure each unit is ready, not just getting the big construction work done.
