High-rise building downtown LA the incoming water for the inlet is very hot so it’s making these units overwork themselves with the heat exchange.

So run capacitors are starting to go out on multiple units. This unit in particular, the wrong capacitor actually exploded and caught fire to all the insulation.

Fire alarms inside the air ducts worked perfect and did their job. They canceled the call for the fire department called me out. I came in. I put out the fire and now we have new internals being ordered

Repaired a R-22 unit. Customer damaged his unit by accident.

I ended up having to weld in some new tub tubing customer tried to fix it himself and while doing that he damaged other tubing so I had to replace a lot of lines and also had to take out some of the fins

After I got this all repaired and everything set to go, we ran into some wiring issues. Somebody messed with the low voltage wiring. And then after that, we were getting high head pressure issues so this unit hasn’t been maintenance in a very long time so I had to repair the water flow to get the right gallons per minute.
