Caren’s Table is back — for our fourth gathering on August 2nd, we’re honored to welcome Chef Nyesha Arrington (Nyesha J Arrington), co-star of FOX’s Next Level Chef and host of Eater’s Plateworthy.

A Bravo Top Chef fan favorite and Zagat Best Chef 30 Under 30 honoree, Nyesha built her career at Michelin-starred Mélisse, L’Atelier, and The Mansion before opening Leona and Native in Los Angeles — celebrated for her farm-fresh, locally and responsibly sourced cooking.

Guests will spend the afternoon cooking alongside Chef Nyesha in the KDG kitchen, sharing food shaped by her seasonal, globally inspired point of view.

I am so excited about these aprons!

The boxes arrived this week and I could not wait to open them. Inside were our new Caren’s Table aprons, each one embroidered for the exact table it’s about serve.

When I’m sharing an easy lunch with a friend or colleague, I like to keep it as simple and practical as possible-without giving up on taste. A go-to option I’ve found is a can of tuna mixed with fresh summer vegetables. It’s quick to prepare, surprisingly satisfying, and goes a long way in terms of both flavor and convenience.

Every time I go, I end up feeling inspired—whether it’s to try a new recipe, host a dinner, or simply bring a bit of beauty home with fresh blooms. It’s the kind of market that turns a simple shopping trip into an experience.

Caren’s table is an intimate culinary
workshop hosted in the Kitchen Design Group kitchen in Santa Monica.

For our next gathering, I’m inviting chef Maria Mazon ( ), chef of BOCA Tacos y Tequila in Tucson to come cook, teach and share her perspective on food, storytelling and wine pairing.

Chef Maria is known for her bold, expressive cooking and deep connection to Sonoran flavors. Guests will spend the afternoon learning directly from Chef Maria, cooking together in the KDG kitchen, and enjoying a thoughtfully prepared meal paired with wine.

With only eight seats available, each workshop is designed to feel personal, relaxed, and immersive. An afternoon of cooking, conversation and gathering around the table.
