As the only Environmental Planner/Urban Designer in the United States accused of Criminal activity for seeking entitlement and design of a 2012 model Cannabis/Alternative Medical Facility in Commerce, CA, I can attest to the urgency of this Advocacy Plea to protect Building Industry Professionals from Federal Persecution. Sizable Senate approval will avert a Presidential veto, thereby ending Federal prohibition of Cannabis in 38 States that allow Medical or Recreational Cannabis establishments. This will end threats of arbitrary Criminal Prosecution against Planners, Architects, Engineers, and Contractors for developing Cannabis facilities. The House vote passed comfortably, the next Senate hurdle is not assured, so please contact your State's Senators to argue an end of current irrational Federal Cannabis Law. I luckily obtained a rare reversal of Federal Charges thanks to swift Defense by the American Planning Association (APA) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Los Angeles Chapters, California Chapters, and National Headquarters of each Organization. The humiliating accusations nearly closed my firm of 25 yrs in 2012. Don't let that happen to you, ACT NOW to end threats against the Development Community for serving the Cannabis Industry across the US.
For the first time ever, the House of Representatives just voted to restrict the Department of Justice from interfering with the states that have legalized adult-use ma*****na.
