NO AIRFLOW. FROZEN AC. ONE FAILED BLOWER MOTOR. π§βοΈ
When this Santa Monica air conditioning system stopped blowing air and began freezing up, the homeowner needed more than a temporary fixβthey needed to know why the system was freezing.
Our diagnostic led us to the indoor blower assembly, where we identified a failed blower motor. This motor is responsible for pulling air through the return and moving conditioned air across the evaporator coil and throughout the home.
With the blower no longer operating, airflow across the evaporator coil was lost. The coil temperature continued dropping until ice began forming on the AC systemβa common symptom that can have several different causes.
After confirming the failure, R&C removed the defective motor, installed a new HVAC blower motor, and tested the system to verify proper airflow and operation.
The important part wasnβt simply replacing a componentβit was correctly diagnosing what caused the AC to stop working and freeze in the first place.
R&C provides AC repair, HVAC diagnostics, blower motor replacement, frozen AC repair, airflow troubleshooting, evaporator coil service, heat pump repair, mini-split & VRF service, preventive maintenance, and HVAC replacement throughout Santa Monica and West Los Angeles.
When your AC stops blowing, starts freezing, or isnβt cooling properly, accurate diagnosis comes first.
