ā€œHi, I’m Sophia with All In 1 Energy Pros.
Are you thinking about installing solar panels in the next few years?
Here’s something important to consider before you do.
How much life does your existing roof have left?
If your roof needs replacement shortly after installing solar, those panels may have to be removed and reinstalled. And that means additional expenses.
But that doesn’t mean you automatically need a new roof before installing solar.
The important thing is to evaluate your roof’s condition and plan ahead.
At All In 1 Energy Pros, we specialize in both roofing and solar, so we can help you plan both projects together.
I’m Sophia. Have questions about your roof or solar? Call or message me. I’m always happy to help!ā€

ā€œHi, I’m Sophia with All In 1 Energy Pros.
Here’s a question homeowners sometimes ask me: ā€˜My roof isn’t that old, so why is it already leaking?’
A roof leak isn’t always about the age of the roof.
Water can sometimes enter around flashing, vents, skylights, roof penetrations, or other vulnerable areas if something wasn’t properly installed, sealed, or has become damaged.
That’s why when we inspect a leak, we don’t just look at the shingles or tiles — we look for where the water is actually getting in.
And remember, where you see a stain inside your home isn’t always directly below the source of the leak.
The important thing is to identify the cause before deciding on the repair.

ā€œHi, I’m Sophia with All In 1 Energy Pros.
When you look at your roof, you see the shingles or tiles. But underneath them is something you normally never see — the underlayment.
So what does it actually do?
Think of underlayment as an additional protective layer between your roofing material and the roof deck underneath.
If water gets past the shingles or tiles, properly installed underlayment helps protect the roof deck from moisture.
It’s one of those parts of your roofing system that you may never see once the roof is finished — but it plays an important role in protecting your home.
So when you’re comparing roofing estimates, don’t only ask about the shingles or tiles.
Ask: What underlayment are you installing, and why?

SOLAR PRODUCES THE ENERGY. A BATTERY GIVES YOU MORE CONTROL.

Your home uses energy day and night — but solar produces mainly during daylight hours.

Adding battery storage can let you save solar energy produced during the day and use it later when you need it.

The goal isn’t just to install solar. It’s to design the right energy system for your home.

ā€œHi, I’m Sophia with All In 1 Energy Pros.
When your roof is being replaced, you probably won’t be climbing up there to see what’s happening — so how do you know what your contractor is actually finding?
Communication and documentation are important.
If damaged wood is discovered, you should be shown what was found. If additional work is needed, it should be explained to you.
Progress photos can also help you understand what’s happening throughout the project — from the tear-off and decking to the underlayment and installation.
You shouldn’t have to guess what’s happening on your own roof.
A good roofing experience isn’t only about the finished roof. It’s also about keeping you informed throughout the process.

One roofing estimate is thousands less than the others. Why? šŸ¤”

A lower price doesn’t automatically mean it’s a bad estimate — but make sure you’re comparing the same scope of work.

Materials, tear-off, underlayment, flashing, permits, cleanup and warranty can all make a difference.

šŸ  Don’t just compare the price. Compare what’s included.

Hi, I’m Sophia with All In 1 Energy Pros.
When you look at a roof, you probably see shingles. But your roof is actually an entire system working together.
It starts with the decking — the wood that provides the foundation for your roof.
Then there’s the underlayment, which adds another layer of protection underneath your roofing material.
Flashing helps protect vulnerable areas around walls, chimneys, vents, and other roof penetrations.
And proper ventilation helps manage heat and moisture in the attic.
Every one of these components plays an important role.
So when you’re comparing roofing estimates, don’t just ask what shingles you’re getting. Ask what roofing system you’re getting.

Waiting for roofing materials to get cheaper while your roof is leaking? šŸ

The bigger concern may be what that leak is doing while you wait. A small issue can lead to damaged wood, insulation, ceilings, and additional repairs.

If you're unsure what your roof needs, let’s take a look first. I’ll explain what I see and give you my honest opinion.

ā€œWhat Happens When Your Old Roof Comes Off?ā€
ā€œHi, I’m Sophia with All In 1 Energy Pros.
Most homeowners are excited to see their new roof. But as a contractor, one of the things I pay the most attention to is what we find when the old roof comes off.
Once we remove the existing roofing material, we can actually see the condition of the wood underneath.
We’re looking for things like damaged or deteriorated wood, signs of previous leaks, and areas that may need attention before the new roof goes on.
And if we find something, you should know about it. We document it, explain what we found, and discuss what needs to be done before moving forward.
Because a good roof isn’t only about what you see on top — what’s underneath matters too.
