Hot topic!
Water heaters:
We all have one or two usually in our attic that we don’t think much about until it quits working or it starts leaking and makes a mess in our laundry room or leaks through or ceiling. Then we freak out and go on Google looking for help!!!
Where we find a company that spends thousands of dollars a month that pops up at the top of the feed that we can call now that will send a sharp dressed person out with a I Pad that tells you we can get this replaced immediately for 3-4 thousand dollars today with financing available.
News flash:
Google ads are expensive
Plumbers don’t need I Pads
You’re over paying for their advertisements
Most of these companies are not local owned anymore (private equity)
Find a local, family owned and operated company with real reviews from real people that were not bought and paid for by AI bots

This backflow preventer was not installed with a proper drain and was never serviced causing it to flood a very large building. We rebuilt this watts 909 and installed the appropriate drain to prevent any future issues. If you have these devices inside your building, I can’t stress enough that you need to have annual testing or inspections so this doesn’t happen to you. We are licensed to install, service, repair, and test backflows.

WARNING!!! Heavy freeze expected for the next few days.
What to do!
Wrap all exposed piping if possible!
Run HOT! And cold water especially if you have plumbing in your attic, or if your house is raised off the ground!
Cover all exposed hose faucets with insulated covers!
If you have a washing machine on a exterior wall in a raised house, set it to wash a large load on warm water as late as possible before going to sleep.
If your refrigerator has a ice maker and it’s on a exterior wall, especially in a raised house, dump all the ice out of the tray into a container in the freezer so it will make new ice throughout the night.
You can also set your dishwasher on delayed start to come on halfway between when you go to bed until you plan on waking up so it runs water through the night that will keep water moving through the system as well.
Whatever you decide to do, keeping water moving through your system is the best option. EVEN HOT WATER!!!
And my wife asks to please bring the pets inside. Lol. Be safe and thank you all for being loyal wonderful customers!
And if you’re on a private water well and you happen to lose power, open all faucets in and outside the house to try and drain all the water from your system.
If you have a tankless water heater: most have freeze protection, however if you lose power you lose that protection. RUN HOT WATER!
Always run HOT and cold water.

New year started off with a bang. Wife got sick on the 2nd. Son got sick on the 12th. Original strain of Covid tested by the doctor. I had it back in 2020 so I have immunity but I’ve been stuck here taking care of them. Everyone is ok and we will get back to normal next week. Sorry if we’ve missed your call or things have been disorganized.
