Lower Columbia Contractors Association

Lower Columbia Contractors Association The LCCA exists to promote and protect the viability of the building industry by serving the members Representing 200 companies in Cowlitz County.

Who We Are
The Lower Columbia Contractors Association (LCCA) is a member driven trade association, organized by local homebuilders in 1956 to represent professionals in the home building industry by providing a united voice for the building industry in Cowlitz County. The men who founded the LCCA showed remarkable foresight; their leadership and our members have maintained a standard of quality in

the building industry which we are proud of today. Our goal is to support affordable housing in the building industry and in our community. This occurs through builder education and advocacy toward regulation, promoting public policy, and ensuring good government processes related to the construction and development industry. What We Do
For over 50 years, the Lower Columbia Contractors Association has been the voice of the home building industry in our area. Our primary goal is to provide affordable housing for all segments of society. This is achieved by improving the construction industry and the business climate in which our members operate. We do this through:

ADVOCACY: Providing a voice before government. EDUCATION: Developing a professional building industry. PROMOTION: Marketing member services. INSURANCE: Medical and State Industrial insurance available.

⭐ A HUGE THANK YOU TO STAR RENTALS! ⭐

What an amazing job the Star Rentals crew did at their Customer Appreciation BBQ! 🍔🌭

The crew was busy cooking up burgers and dogs for their customers, and as always, they put on an incredible event! The turnout was fantastic, with people lined up and ready to spin the wheel and win some great prizes!

It’s always great to see a local business show their appreciation for their customers and community.

Nice job, guys! 👏 You knocked it out of the park! Thank you for the great food, fun, and hospitality! Star Rentals

The LCCA spent the day at the CRHS Career & Trades Fair, connecting with students and sharing information about career opportunities in the construction industry.

Despite the rainy weather, there was an excellent turnout of companies from our local community, all coming together to support and inspire the next generation.

Steve James with RLT Construction was on hand throughout the day, engaging students with tool identification and hands-on activities.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful event and to help promote future careers in construction.

LCCA hit the ground running this month and hasn't slown down.

We kicked things off recognizing National Safe Digging Month with our 811 Contractors Breakfast, bringing together over 150 attendees—including local municipalities and excavators—to hear important updates on 811 dig law and safety practices. Thank you to our sponsors Cowlitz PUD, Star Rentals, United Rentals, Walker Insurance and Knife River.

From there, it’s been all about training and workforce development. Gearing up for upcoming work we held the following classes:
✔️ Excavation & Trenching Certification
✔️ Confined Space Training
✔️ OSA Certified Flagger Class
✔️ Forklift Training & Aerial Platform Training

We also had the opportunity for our Board Members to meet with Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez to discuss critical workforce development issues impacting our industry.

And we’re not done yet! Next up, you’ll find us at the Castle Rock Career Fair later this month as we continue to invest in the future of our workforce.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, participate, and support these efforts—we couldn’t do it without you!

LCCA Board of Directors spent the day on Capitol Hill advocating for our industry and the communities we serve. We had productive meetings with Representative McEntire and Senator Wilson to discuss the regulations and policies impacting the building industry and the urgent need to make housing more affordable in Washington.

Board Member Travis Buck also had the opportunity to speak about issues affecting our industry locally, including challenges within Cowlitz County that are impacting builders and development.

We appreciate the time and commitment of our legislators to hear directly from those working on the front lines of housing. LCCA remains committed to being a strong voice for affordable housing and responsible growth.

LCCA “Strike Up Some Fun” 🎳

LCCA members and guests gathered for an evening of family fun at our “Strike Up Some Fun” bowling event! It was wonderful to see so many members come out with their families to enjoy great food, friendly competition, and time together.
Members enjoyed pizza and a nacho bar while some hit the lanes and others took the opportunity to socialize and network. Events like these are what make LCCA special — bringing our industry together in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.
A huge thank you to our event sponsors:
Renaud Electric Heating & Cooling, Specialty Concrete, and Newrock Homes, Inc. — we appreciate your continued support in making these events possible. Thank you to our lane sponsors: Evergreen Pipeline, Fibre Federal Credit Union, Advanced Messaging & Dispatch (AMD), Noelle McLean, 4th Dimension Construction, Regency Blue Shield, BIAW, Kristin Cheatley, Cal Portland, P. R. Worth Inc, NW Landscaping Services, Walker Insurance.
Thank you as well to everyone who participated in our Mystery Candy Raffle — your support helps us continue creating fun and meaningful member events.
Most of all, it was great seeing the kids having such a fantastic time. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do!
Thank you to everyone who joined us — we can’t wait for the next one!
