The Brown project at Lake Cherokee is probably the nicest single-stall boathouse we’ve built. This Navy-style timber frame boathouse features 6×12 structural beams, a covered deck, a sundeck, and a spacious upper deck.
The foundation consists of #1 8×8 foundation piles with .60 CCA treatment, driven approximately 12 feet into the lake bed and extending all the way to the top plate.
Details include a rough-cut 2×12 slat wall on the west side, Hardie siding on the storeroom with walls extending to the roofline, composite decking, and rough cut 2x12 shelving/work bench in the storeroom.
The boat stall features a remote controlled Aquamarine direct-drive E-Drive hoist with an aluminum fishing boat cradle and aluminum bunks. The overhead lift system uses a fully welded 6-inch I-beam assembly installed along the rake of the roof.
A lot of great features packed into a single-stall boathouse, and one we’re proud to put our name on.
