It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our longtime friend and Satterwhite employee, Danny Grizzle, after a valiant fight with cancer.
Danny joined Satterwhite Log Homes on April 12, 1999, and for more than 27 years, his fingerprints could be found on just about everything we did.
He designed our very first website. He filmed and produced our first company video and countless others over the years. He handled all things IT, captured thousands of moments through his photography, ran sound and video for countless events, and was the man behind the scenes producing Satterwhite Live each Thursday.
But listing Danny’s responsibilities could never explain what he meant to Satterwhite.
Danny was our resident walking encyclopedia. And not just about log homes. He seemed to know something about almost everything. If you asked Danny a question, he would give you an answer... and, in true Danny fashion, probably explain it in considerably more detail than you ever expected. We would give anything to hear one of those long explanations again.
For 27 years, Danny shared his talent, creativity, knowledge, stories, and friendship with all of us. He documented so much of Satterwhite’s history while quietly becoming an important part of that history himself.
There are people who come to work for a company, and then there are people who become woven into its story. Danny was woven into ours.
Our hearts and prayers are with Danny’s family and all those who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.
We will miss his knowledge. We will miss his talent. We will miss his stories. We will miss seeing him behind the camera and behind the scenes.
But most of all, we will simply miss Danny.
Thank you for 27 unforgettable years, Danny. Your place in the Satterwhite Log Homes family will always remain.
