Some properties just know how to hold the light.

This Lake Minnetonka retreat was designed to catch golden hour from every angle, from the turf lawn to the stone retaining walls that frame it. A little glow goes a long way.

Every project starts on a table like this one.

Long before the first stone is set, our team is here comparing textures, tones, and finishes until every detail feels intentional. The little decisions are usually the ones that matter most.

The view gets better as the leaves turn.

Floor to ceiling glass doors open this space right up to a stone fireplace built for exactly this kind of afternoon. This property in October, doing exactly what it does best.

If your outdoor space could use a fireplace of its own, send us a message. We would love to help you plan it.

The best seat in the house is outside.

Fall entertaining starts with the right fire feature. Save this one for when you're ready to build yours.

Some outdoor spaces are made for showing off. This one was made for living in.

Built around a low maintenance turf lawn and an outdoor kitchen made for real entertaining, this property proves function and elevated design can absolutely coexist.

Good design takes a village. Ours just happens to be a very talented one.

This project came together through the kind of collaboration we love most: builder, architect, interior designer, and pool team all working toward the same vision. Swipe to see it from above.

The crew behind the craftsmanship.

Every stone set and detail finished this season comes down to the team on the ground getting it right, day after day. Grateful for our crew and everything they bring to each project.

Summer had a good run.

Now it's the fire pit's turn. There is a particular kind of quiet that comes with a stack of wood and the first cool evening of the season, and we are here for every bit of it.

Three submissions. Three Silver awards. One very proud team. 🥂

We're honored to share that Outdoor Excapes earned Silver in the 2026 NALP Awards of Excellence for all three projects we entered, in our very first year submitting.

Waterstone Retreat: a natural stream and waterfall that greets guests at the front door and winds around the home, crafted to look like it was always there.

Hosting Haven: on Lake Minnetonka, every lake-facing door of this beautiful home now opens onto one seamless terrace, pool, pergola, and fire pit made for hosting.

Pond Haven: a low-maintenance retreat that flows from natural, pollinator-friendly plantings at the pond's edge to clean, refined spaces near the home.

This recognition belongs to our designers and field crews, the homeowners who trusted us with their vision, and the partners who build alongside us. What a way to celebrate 25 years.

Swipe to see all three. ➡️

Golden light, quiet water, one very good evening.

As summer eases into fall, this is exactly the kind of evening we design for. The kind where you linger a little longer by the pool before the fire takes over for the season.
