Some porches don't need reinventing β they just need to be done right. π‘
This wraparound porch and screened room on a classic colonial is a study in old-world craftsmanship: turned columns, crisp white lattice skirting, and a screened corner tucked beneath century-old maples. It's proof that the best design decisions aren't always about adding something new β sometimes they're about honoring what was already beautiful and giving it the quality it deserves.
We love a project like this one. The screened room means bug-free mornings with coffee and the paper. The open porch beyond means room for the whole family to gather on a summer evening. And that lattice skirting? Equal parts function and finish β hiding the foundation while keeping the airflow this old girl needs.
Timeless materials, thoughtful restoration, and a whole lot of character. This is what we mean when we say design should honor a home's story.
