We love this Port Arthur plan built in Cumberland Harbor. It fits into the context of the neighborhood and the color scheme is different than other Port Arthur’s that we’ve seen.
It also doesn’t have shutters—a strange thing to point out, but stay with us here. As much as we hope to inspire you with your future home, we also want to educate you before you build.
When it comes to shutters, we believe they should be properly sized and operable. This comes from a historical mindset—and we don’t make the rules.
The builder (Terry Stover Construction, Inc.) could have easily added shutters beside the lower double windows, but chose not to. And because there isn’t room for correctly sized shutters, we think they made the right call.
More shutter talk coming soon.
