The Mores’ San Diego Traditional Craftsman in Mission Hills(1 of 3 posts)
We haven’t posted in a while (we’ve been heads-down busy!), but after 5–6 months of build time, installation, more construction, the Mores moving back in, and finally scheduling the photographer… we’re thrilled to finally share their completed cabinetry!
Crissy and I are incredibly proud of this project and hope you love it as much as we do.
Crissy handled all the hand-staining, finishing, and the majority of the sanding. I took care of the design and built every piece. Then Eddie T. and I loaded up a 24-foot U-Haul and drove it across the country through 8 states in under 2 days to install it. Eddie did all the driving and was an absolute rockstar — we couldn’t have done it without him!
The Mores are some of the most hospitable, courteous, and wonderful people you could ever hope to meet. Mr. And Mrs More were absolute sticklers for authentic Craftsman details. Mrs. More ran herself ragged acting as the go-between with her contractor and me, measuring everything dozens of times with incredible patience and perseverance. We all became friends through the process, and Crissy and I will always be deeply thankful they chose us for this job.
Getting to create a historic Craftsman cabinetry project in Mission Hills, San Diego — right where the Craftsman style began — was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We will never forget it.

Only the best materials and hardware.
The living room, colonnade, shelves, mantle, and board-and-batten paneling are all solid oak.
