Fence FAQ: How are you going to install a fence on my sloped terrain?

It’s a question we hear pretty often in Cache Valley, and the answer depends on your property and the type of fence you choose.

In some cases, we can build the fence to follow the natural grade of the land, like this ranch-style wood fence. On other properties, a stepped installation may make more sense.

The goal is to work with the terrain so the finished fence is functional, secure, and looks like it belongs there.

Hills, slopes, uneven ground are no stranger to us here in Nothern Utah.

The Challenge: The customer wanted a clean-looking, unique fence that matches the style of the house and existing fence. The traditional wood rail fence wasn't going to cut it.

The Solution: We took the traditional ranch/farm fence and rotated it 45 degrees.

This talented fence installation team mortised these rails into the posts in a diamond shape for a unique, custom take on a traditional rail fence. We're in love.

We’ve been looking forward to sharing this one for a while. 🐾

Cache Valley is home for us, and we’re always grateful when we get the chance to use what we do every day to give something back to our wonderful community.

This week, our High & Tight crew came together with our friends at Cache Humane Society and Tangent® Materials to bring a project we’ve been working on for a while to life.

High & Tight donated the planning and installation, Tangent generously donated the fencing materials, and together we were able to create a larger, safer outdoor space for the shelter dogs. *Custom color shown, not a standard Tangent color offering*

The new space more than doubles the area they have to run, play, train, and spend time with volunteers and potential adoptive families. ❤️

A big shoutout to our team for putting in the work, to Tangent for stepping up when we needed a material partner, and to the Cache Humane Society team for everything they do for animals in our community.

Pretty cool to see what we can do together. 🐾

When we started High & Tight, the goal was pretty simple: build beautiful fences, create a team people wanted to be part of, and develop lasting relationships with our Northern Utah neighbors along the way. 🙌
