The greatest things fathers build can’t be measured in yards, tons, or acres.

Their legacy lives on in the values they pass down.

Happy Father’s Day

Fort Stevens State Park is open and ready for summer recreation!

Goodfellow Bros. recently completed a $13M campground improvement project at one of the nation’s largest public campgrounds, modernizing the infrastructure behind a better visitor experience.

Our crews upgraded water, sewer, and electrical systems serving 217 campsites, installed 31,400+ feet of underground utilities, built 42 ADA-accessible campsites, completed lift station and pavement improvements, and replaced the original 1955 restroom/shower building with a new modern facility.

The project also included a new restroom at the Peter Iredale day-use area, home to the iconic Oregon Coast shipwreck that has drawn visitors for more than a century.

Proud to help Oregon Parks and Recreation Department welcome campers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts back for years to come.

Out at Cal Poly Maritime Academy getting after it for a landslide repair and roadway reconstruction of the Residence Hall Road. This is the kind of crew you can count on to show up, put in the work, and have each other’s backs while doing it.

You spend enough time working side by side, it builds something stronger than just a team. It builds trust. The kind where you know the person next to you is looking out for you, taking ownership for safety, and doing the right thing without being asked.

Before we ever built anything, someone helped build us.

This Mother’s Day, we’re grateful for the women and role models who helped shape who we are today.

If there’s someone who helped guide your journey, we’d love to hear about them in the comments.

Introducing our WISH! Winter’s Glow Corporate Partner of the Year: Goodfellow Bros! 🌟

Heavy civil contractor Goodfellow Bros. is a fourth-generation family business guided by three main principles: do the right thing, make a difference, and have fun—core values that have also fostered an impactful partnership with Make-A-Wish, both on the mainland and here in Hawaii.

An integral part of Maui’s construction industry for more than 50 years, Goodfellow Bros. is driven by a deep responsibility to the local community. From sponsoring events and granting waiting wishes across the islands to sharing their love of construction with wish kids like 4-year-old ZionBreeze of Pahala and 6-year-old Cru of Kahului—who each had the opportunity to experience their favorite trucks and equipment up close during unforgettable wish reveal celebrations—Goodfellow Bros. consistently goes the extra mile to spark joy and inspire hope when it’s needed most.

Mahalo nui loa to CEO Chad Goodfellow and his entire team for helping local wish keiki not only reclaim their childhoods today but build brighter futures for tomorrow!

The Special Olympics Hawaii Truck Pull is a high-energy fundraising event where teams of eight compete to pull a 40,000 lb truck across a 30-foot course in the fastest time possible. While the event is a test of physical strength, its primary goal is to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics athletes, ensuring they can train and compete at no cost to their families.

This year GBI Oahu sent two powerhouse teams to the rope to put our strength to the test for a cause that matters more than any scoreboard. We are incredibly proud to share that not only did our teams give it their all, but one of our teams took home the trophy for the Fastest Time in the Corporate Division category! 🏆

But if you ask the crew who pulled that heavy truck, they’ll tell you the real win wasn’t the trophy. It was the unbreakable rhythm of eight people pulling as one and the cheers from the athletes and families that pushed us through those final feet. It’s a reminder that no load is too heavy when your community is standing behind you. Inclusion isn’t just a core value at Goodfellow Bros, it’s something we live, breathe, and sometimes literally pull for.

Huge congratulations to both teams for representing the heart of GBI. We’re already looking forward to defending the title next year!

At the Trout Creek Peninsula, our crews placed over 85,000 cubic yards of material to extend the shoreline, building a 60 foot beach and create lowland habitat that allows water to move in and out during high water, improving access for fish and waterfowl.

This kind of work takes experienced operators who understand how to work with the river. Material is placed with precision while constantly managing changing water conditions.

For generations, Goodfellow Bros. has built its reputation on responsible land stewardship through the work we put in on every job. Earth Day is a reminder of the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.
