What does it take to keep the construction industry moving? Our interns got a behind-the-scenes look.

Our construction interns on Oahu recently had the opportunity to tour the Hawthorne CAT dealership, where they got an inside look at the equipment, technology, and people that keep our industry moving.

A special thank you to the entire Hawthorne CAT team for once again creating an outstanding learning experience. From SiteTech’s GPS, LiDAR, and mapping technology to the rentals and parts departments, our interns were able to ask questions, hear from industry experts, and gain valuable insight into the CAT network.

We appreciate Hawthorne CAT’s continued partnership and commitment to helping develop the next generation of construction professionals.

For generations, Front Street has been the heart of Lāhainā.

With the Front Street Sidewalk and Seawall Restoration Project now complete, the Lāhainā community gathered for a traditional Hawaiian blessing, offering gratitude and honoring the people, the place, and the many hands that helped bring it to completion.

We’re grateful to have played a part in this project and thankful to everyone whose partnership made it possible.

Mahalo to the Lāhainā community for allowing us to be part of this journey.

Imagine replacing a 110-year-old school while thousands of students continue learning just 15 feet away.

When Beaverton High School opened in 1916, the city looked very different than it does today. More than a century later, Oregon’s oldest operating public school is ready for its next chapter.

As Skanska’s heavy civil trade partner, Goodfellow Bros. transformed the site from the ground up, completing the structural excavation, more than 36,000 linear feet of underground utilities, over one million square feet of fine grading for roads, walkways, and athletic fields, and a massive underground stormwater detention system that supports the new 295,000 square foot campus.

Engineered to withstand major seismic events, the new campus will also serve as a Community Earthquake Evacuation Center, providing a safe place for the Beaverton community in the aftermath of a major earthquake.

Schools are remembered for the lives they shape, the friendships they foster, and the memories made inside their walls. We’re proud to have helped create the place where those stories begin.

Most people will never see what’s beneath this neighborhood, but they’ll rely on it every day.

This 26-foot-deep excavation will become a sewer lift station that quietly keeps wastewater moving for the future residents of the Ten Trails community in Black Diamond.

The massive shoring system make it possible for our crews to work safely while constructing a two-foot-thick foundation and reinforced concrete walls that will house the pumps powering the system.

When the project is complete, almost everything you’ll see is a small building at the surface. The engineering, craftsmanship, and planning below ground are what make it all work.

Recently, members of our Good Deeds Oahu team and their families volunteered at The Pantry, serving alongside fellow community members to help prepare and distribute food to local families across Oʻahu.

During the Fourth of July weekend, 93 volunteers came together to provide food assistance to 723 families, reaching 2,007 individuals throughout our community.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to give back alongside organizations like ThePantrybyFHT and support the people and communities that make Hawaiʻi such a special place.

Every road, bridge, school, utility, or community begins with the freedom to imagine something that doesn’t exist yet, and the determination to build it.

Happy Independence Day from Goodfellow Bros.

The greatest things fathers build can’t be measured in yards, tons, or acres.

Their legacy lives on in the values they pass down.

Fort Stevens State Park is open and ready for summer recreation!

Goodfellow Bros. recently completed a $13M campground improvement project at one of the nation’s largest public campgrounds, modernizing the infrastructure behind a better visitor experience.

Our crews upgraded water, sewer, and electrical systems serving 217 campsites, installed 31,400+ feet of underground utilities, built 42 ADA-accessible campsites, completed lift station and pavement improvements, and replaced the original 1955 restroom/shower building with a new modern facility.

The project also included a new restroom at the Peter Iredale day-use area, home to the iconic Oregon Coast shipwreck that has drawn visitors for more than a century.

Proud to help Oregon Parks and Recreation Department welcome campers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts back for years to come.
