Here's the route! We'll meet in the North parking lot of oak grove casino, 9am, oct. 13th. We'll try depart at the latest 930-945.

Tennessee to Arizona (Firebird Motorsports Park)

Day 1 – Oak Grove, Ky to Roland, Oklahoma

Approximately 460 miles

Route: Oak grove --> Memphis --> Little Rock --> Fort Smith --> Roland

Overnight: Cherokee Casino & Hotel

Day 2 – Roland to Albuguerque, NM

Approximately 640 miles

Route: Roland --> Oklahoma city --> shamrock --> Amarillo --> Albuquerque

Overnight: Route 66 Casino Hotel

Day 3 – Albuquerque to Chandler

Approximately 450 Miles

Route: Albuquerque --> Gallup z
--> petrified forest --> Holbrook --> Payson --> Chandler

If you’ve got an older rig, please bring basics with you such as a spare, jack, coil, points, fluids, fuel, tools, etc. You've watched the show enough to know what gets me home.

Rainy afternoons downtown used to feel a little slower.

The sidewalks were slick, the storefronts were open, and old wooden utility poles lined the street above the neighborhood shops. A hardware store offered paint, tools, plumbing and electrical supplies, while the grocery and appliance stores next door handled the everyday things people needed. Old cars waited along the curb as the rain came down, and somewhere inside those little stores, neighbors were probably catching up while picking up what they needed for home.

It’s April 17, 1982 — 2:41 in the afternoon.

Back then, a trip into town wasn’t just about getting something done. It was part of daily life...walking into a familiar store, seeing familiar faces, and heading home with a bag in hand before dinner.

Years later, a rainy street like this can bring back the feeling of a town where every storefront, corner, and familiar face was part of the family story.
