New construction doesn’t always mean watertight. ☕️🌧️

We recently helped out a local Little Elm coffee shop in a 1.5-year-old building that was dealing with some serious leaks. You’d think a new build would be good to go, but a quick inspection by the team at Szott's Roofing found a few critical builder shortcuts and drainage issues:

• 🛑 Clogged drain scuppers backed up the water on the low-slope roof.
• ❌ Missing perimeter drip edge metal and door flashing gave that pooled water a direct path inside the building.
• ⚠️ Incomplete door pe*******on flashing failed right away.
We cleared the drainage scuppers

Whether your building is 1 year old or 50, don't let hidden shortcuts ruin your property.

Rain is on the way to Little Elm, TX. We just got this one figured out in Eldorado Estates that the valley lining doesn't quite run the whole valley and water is getting in damaging the decking rafters and drywall below. We will be getting this roof system properly done after the storms.

We helped this customer referral diagnose his dead valley today in Coppell, TX. This IKO Dynasty System has been leaking since the addition of the pergola, over 1 year. They have done multiple water tests with no rusults other than water entering the home. My first instinct was that it was tied in poorly. And upon removing the first awkardly raised shingle directly above the problem area we could immediatly see the problem and diagnose the fix.

If you have any trouble areas on your homes roof system that require actual roofers to look at "not salesmen" give us a buzz. 214 308 1376.
