Big Time hail damage on this roof.
If you see granules in your gutter, it’s a big red flag. Those get knocked off when hail hits the shingles and can lead to deterioration of your roofing and eventual leaks.
If you see this, you need to get your roof checked out.

🚨🚨Warning: This is NOT what you want to see on your roof!!🚨🚨

This is improperly installed chimney flashing that led to a major leak & mold. Looks nasty, right?

Yet, still, insurance initially denied the claim. Then they wanted us to settle for a ridiculously under-priced estimate. We fought for the customer and got everything that should have been paid for.

So when stuff like this comes up, we already made sure it’s covered. That’s why it’s so important to work off the estimate and have a contractor who can help you understand the process & your policy!

Whether is $6 or $60000 the insurance company doesn’t care.
So don’t file a claim unless you have to.
And, the bigger moral of this story: make sure you have someone you TRUST inspect your roof.
