Ronnie is a staple in our community. His food- the best BBQ around. His heart, as big as it gets. Time and time again he has donated to support nearly every cause our community is supporting. His family has been fighting for the health of their daughter and to beat cancer. He has now been hit incredibly hard from the Florida Department of Revenue and his business is being threatened.

When OL was tagged to help, it was an easy YES. This amazing is in hardship and need our help.

I have told our story in bits and pieces over the years. On Trauma Uncensored Podcast we get real about what happened, how I fought for the truth, how we have navigated life since Leon’s death.

An abbreviated version was released today if you haven’t heard it before.

I will share this story forever. I will say his name every day until I can no longer speak. Not for me- but for him and our children and to bring hope to just one person.

This last week a wife lost her husband, her soul mate and four children lost their dad. Brian Castillo died on Father’s Day morning. Ashley is now facing the unimaginable.

Operation Lotus is raising funds to help cover funeral expenses, support the children’s activities, and most importantly, give their mom the ability to take some time off work so she can focus on her family during this difficult time.

Today this miracle turned 13! His story is worth sharing because it’s a true testimony of faith, divine intervention and hope.

He wasn’t in Leon’s and I plan. 1 month before Leon died, we decided 2 children was our story- BUT God had other plans. September 22nd Leon died, September 29th I discovered I was pregnant. I was angry. VERY angry. But God had a plan. God knew in my darkest time I needed purpose, a reason to push harder than I knew I could, take care of myself, He knew I needed hope.

Sometimes there is beauty in the devastation. Noah’s story is a reminder to us all- there is a a plan and purpose much deeper than we could ever imagine. Faith- it’s what gets us through when nothing else can.

Noah- “comfort”. Noah- the one who saved me from my storm. Happy 13th to the littlest Brock but who’s bigger than life.

A very beloved- long time teacher of Fishhawk Creek, Renee Nazario-Flores really needs our community to rally behind her and her son Landon.

On Saturday, February 21st, her 14 year old son Landon suffered a massive brain bleed. Doctors are still trying to figure out the exact cause but this event has caused a tremendous amount of damage. He is currently recovering from a removal of the left side of his skull which relieved pressure on the brain. He currently can not speak, nor can he move his right side. Doctors aren't sure when/if these will return.

Mom, a 1st grade teacher at Fishhawk Elementary, is not expected to work again this school year. She won't leave the hospital until he leaves the hospital. Dad is also on leave from his job as well.

Operation Lotus is spearheading a fundraiser to help with all medical costs as well as loss wages. More than monetary, the family is also asking for your thoughts, prayers and good vibes.
