Some may know, before House of Dwayne… I was a volunteer firefighter with Linn FPD. 🚒

And that experience changed how I see a home—especially for those 65+.

When first responders enter a home, we’re not just looking at the emergency.

We notice:

blocked entryways

fall hazards

cluttered pathways

unsafe bathrooms

sanitation issues

Because in an emergency, those things matter.

A lot.

That’s exactly why the Golden Plan is different.

We don’t just clean—we help create a home that is:

✔ Safe✔ Accessible✔ Functional in a crisis

We help ensure:

clear pathways (even for stretchers if needed)

reduced fall risks

sanitary kitchens & bathrooms

organized, livable spaces

We are not healthcare providers.

But we do bring a level of awareness most companies simply don’t have.

Because we’ve seen what happens when a home isn’t set up for safety.

I truly believe this:

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had a lot of conversations about the Golden Years Plan — and I want to share a little more of the bigger picture behind it. ❤️

What we’re building is more than a service.

It’s a different way of thinking about aging.

Most systems don’t step in until something goes wrong —
a fall, a health scare, or a moment where families feel like they’ve run out of options.

But what if we didn’t wait for that?

What if support started earlier…
while life is still full, active, and worth enjoying?

The Golden Years Plan is designed to grow with the person.

✨ In early retirement → we help maintain the home so they can travel, volunteer, host, and enjoy life.

✨ As things begin to slow down → we focus on safety, organization, and keeping families informed.

✨ When more support is needed → we help connect families with trusted home health providers and work alongside them to keep everything running smoothly at home.

We step in early, stay consistent, and adjust as life changes.

Because the goal isn’t just “help around the house.”

The goal is:
👉 helping people stay in their homes longer
👉 keeping them safe without taking away independence
👉 and making sure families don’t have to navigate those transitions alone

This is something I’ve thought about for a long time, and I truly believe it can make a difference in how we care for people in our community.

We’re just getting started — but the vision is much bigger than one service.

Today I’m really excited to share something that has been on my heart for a long time. ❤️

Many of you know that before starting House of Dwayne, I worked as a CNA in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. During those years I learned a lot — but one thing stuck with me the most.

So many seniors don’t actually want to leave their homes. And honestly… many of them don’t need to.

What they often need is a little extra help keeping up with the home they worked their entire lives to build.

After working in those facilities, I remember thinking more than once that I hoped my own loved ones would never have to leave their homes unless it was absolutely necessary. Later, while working as a home health aide, I saw firsthand how much happier seniors are when they can remain in their own space — surrounded by their memories, their routines, and their independence.

That’s where this idea started.

Today I’m officially introducing the Golden Years Plan through House of Dwayne.

This program is designed to help bridge the gap between retirement and the time when someone might need full-time assisted living or medical home healthcare.

We are not a healthcare provider, but we believe something simple and important:

A clean, safe, organized home helps people stay healthier, happier, and independent longer.

Golden Years members receive a weekly visit where we help with things like:

✨ Light cleaning and sanitation
✨ Laundry assistance
✨ Kitchen organization and meal prep support
✨ Bathroom safety and sanitation
✨ Minor handyman tasks
✨ Technology help (phones, computers, TVs)
✨ General home organization

Sometimes the biggest thing we provide is simply consistency and someone they can count on.

Our goal is to help seniors stay in the place they love for as long as possible — with dignity, comfort, and independence.

For the launch of this program we are limiting membership to 8 Golden Years families so we can give each client the time and care they deserve.
