Colonial Nursery Inc. Colonial Nursery was founded by Dan Coneeny with just a cash box and a few hundred mums! We also stock a top quality selection of shrubs and trees.

Now we have grown into a large production greenhouse where we grow all our own annuals and perennials. We are a retail & wholesale nursery & landscape design business in Lincroft NJ. We are specialist growers and have many unusual and very beautiful houseplants. Stop by and speak to Dan, Mike, Erin or Matt!

🍂 MUM CARE 101 🌼

Want your mums to stay colorful all fall? Here are a few simple tips!

🌞 Give them sun Mums thrive with 6+ hours of sunlight each day.

💧 Keep them watered Check the soil daily and water when the top feels dry. Mums in pots may need water every day!

🌱 Ensure good drainage Mums don’t like sitting in soggy soil, so make sure pots have drainage holes.

❄️ Protect from frost Potted mums are more vulnerable to cold. Move them to a sheltered spot during hard freezes

🍁 Find your favorites! We have mums in a variety of sizes and colors, perfect for adding a pop of fall color to your porch, patio, or garden. Stop by and find yours!

🌱 30 years. Three decades. So many seasons.

This year, we’re celebrating 30 years of Colonial Nursery.

What started in Dan and Jackie Coneeny’s front yard in 1996 with mums and a cash box, has grown into a place where generations of gardeners have come to find plants, inspiration, advice and a little bit of something beautiful for home.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us, shopped with us, worked alongside us and made us part of their gardens and their lives over the years.

Thank you for 30 wonderful years. Here’s to many more seasons of growing together. 🌿

❤️ From all of us at Colonial Nursery
