Pressure washing may look easy—but there’s a lot more to it than pointing a wand and pulling the trigger. Using the wrong pressure, nozzle, distance or technique can leave you with damage that costs a whole lot more than the cleaning would have.

A Grandparents Day Tribute to Where It All Began

Today, across the Beddingfield family businesses — Clemontine’s In Bloom, Three Beaches, Racing Toes and H2Oooh — we’re celebrating Grandparents Day by remembering two people who helped lay the foundation for so much of what came after: Donald and Clemontine Beddingfield.

Donald and Clemontine established the old Beddingfield home place in the 1930s, raising their family on about 16 acres and building a life through hard work, resourcefulness, faith and family.

It was a different way of life. Water came from the spring house. Food came from the garden and farm. Clemontine canned what they grew, sewed and mended clothes, quilted blankets and cooked the kind of Sunday dinners people still talk about.
And those Sundays mattered.

After church, the entire family gathered around the table for fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread, homemade jellies and desserts — and maybe some homemade ice cream if you were willing to take your turn sitting on top of the churn!

Those years — and those grandparents — taught generations of Beddingfields lessons that still matter today:
Work hard. Take care of what you have. Appreciate where you came from. And always make time for family.

Today, that same land is home to Clemontine’s In Bloom, where the original spring house, corn crib, smokehouse and even the old outhouse still stand as reminders of the generations who came before.

And we like to think a little bit of Donald and Clemontine’s legacy lives on in everything the Beddingfield family does today — from welcoming guests at Clemontine’s and Three Beaches, to the work behind Racing Toes and H2Oooh.
Businesses change. Generations change. Life changes. But the lessons our grandparents teach us have a way of being passed from one generation to the next.
