Out with the cast iron, in with ABS. 🔧

This customer had an ABS sewer and building drain with a cast iron cleanout installed between the two. That cast iron connection created a “bridge” that was constantly catching waste and contributing to repeated backups.

We removed the cast iron cleanout and replaced it with a properly installed ABS cleanout for a smoother, more reliable flow.

This is exactly why we don’t recommend cast iron cleanouts in this type of application. When possible, we stick with ABS plastic to help eliminate unnecessary catch points and reduce the chance of future backups.

Sewer Repair to Correct a Belly in the Line

Customer was experiencing frequent sewer backups due to a severe belly in the existing sewer line. A belly occurs when a section of pipe settles, creating a low spot where waste and water collect instead of flowing properly.

Our team excavated the affected area, removed the failed section, and installed new pipe with proper grade to restore flow and prevent future backups.

🚨 Slab Leak Repair Without Breaking the Footing 🚨

This homeowner had a slab leak running through the footing of the home. Instead of breaking up the footing and creating a much larger repair, we were able to reroute the water line and restore service while minimizing disruption to the property.

🚧 Sewer Lift Station Installation – Placerville, CA 🚧

This customer was experiencing sewer backups nearly every week due to a severe belly in approximately 130 feet of the existing sewer line.

After evaluating the system, we determined there was no feasible way to establish proper gravity flow and maintain the required grade. Our solution was to install a new sewer lift station equipped with a 1 HP grinder pump to reliably move wastewater to the main sewer.

🔧 Scope of Work:
✔ Installed a new lift station with 1 HP grinder pump
✔ Re-plumbed (3) incoming sewer lines to provide proper fall into the new basin
✔ Installed approximately 130 feet of 2” discharge piping
✔ Sleeved the discharge line through the existing ABS sewer line to minimize excavation
✔ Tied into the main sewer once sufficient grade was achieved
✔ Installed a high-water alarm system for added protection and peace of mind

The result is a dependable system that eliminates the recurring backups and provides a long-term solution where traditional gravity drainage was not possible.
