Yesterday, we had the opportunity to connect with students at Southeast Community College's Construction Day at the Milford Campus!

It’s always a privilege to spend time with the next generation of construction professionals—sharing our experiences, talking about common interests, and answering questions about the industry.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect, encourage, and help students see the many possibilities a career in construction can offer. Thanks to SCC for having us!

Today, as we reflect on the tragedy of 9/11, we honor the lives that were lost and remember the countless families, friends, first responders, and communities forever changed by that day.

May we never forget the lives behind the numbers or the stories behind the headlines. May we continue to honor their memory by choosing compassion over division, service over indifference, and unity over fear.

July 23rd marked an exciting milestone as we celebrated the ribbon cutting for the new STEAM Activity Center at FiftyOne Commons!

It has been an honor for Cheever Construction to partner with Family Service Lincoln and the many organizations, businesses, and community members who helped bring this incredible vision to life. Projects like this are a reminder that construction is about so much more than buildings—it's about creating spaces where people can learn, grow, connect, and thrive.

The STEAM Activity Center, alongside the affordable housing and community garden at FiftyOne Commons, represents a lasting investment in Lincoln's families and future generations. We are proud to have played a role in building a place that will inspire curiosity, opportunity, and community for years to come.

Some of the best conversations don’t happen in an office—they happen on the golf course, over coffee, or walking a jobsite.

Tuesday was one of those days as we spent time with our friends from Centennial Public School. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect outside of the day-to-day and strengthen the relationships that make our work so rewarding.

One of the things we appreciate most is that construction isn’t just about completing a project. It’s about building something that will serve students, families, and communities for years to come; but just as important are the relationships built along the way.

Every project is rooted in trust, collaboration, and people who genuinely care about doing things the right way. Those relationships don’t end when the ribbon is cut or the keys are handed over—they’re what make this work meaningful.

Grateful for the opportunity to build more than buildings. Grateful to build community, friendships, and partnerships that stand the test of time.

Here’s to the people who make the journey just as rewarding as the finished product. ⛳️

After 34 years of dedication to Cheever Construction, it's time to celebrate an incredible career. 🎉

Today, we honor Mark Christman, whose final day with Cheever Construction is tomorrow, July 24.

Mark has been an invaluable part of our team. His hard work, craftsmanship, leadership, and unwavering dedication have helped shape not only our company, but also the many projects and people he's impacted along the way. His knowledge and experience have left a lasting impression on everyone who has had the privilege of working beside him.

While we'll certainly miss seeing Mark on the job, we couldn't be happier for him as he begins this well-earned next chapter.

Please join us in thanking Mark for his outstanding service and wishing him a retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, good health, and plenty of new adventures.
