Headed to Sturgis, but apparently I can’t even make it through Yellowstone without stopping to admire a chimney. 😂

Came across this absolute monster and couldn’t pass up the photo opportunity. When you spend your days sweeping, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding chimneys, I guess you start noticing them everywhere you go.

Taking a little time away to enjoy the ride, see some incredible country, and make our way to Sturgis. And yes, the “Kicking Ash” vest seemed pretty appropriate for this one. 😎

Another leaking chimney taken care of, this time out in Siletz! The old roof flashing had failed, allowing water to work its way into the home. As you can see in the before photo, the previous contractor installed galvanized flashing, which had deteriorated from years of exposure to the weather. We removed the failed flashing and upgraded the system with stainless steel flashing, a new storm collar, and properly sealed all penetrations for a durable, watertight installation built to withstand the Oregon Coast climate.

A small leak today can turn into expensive structural damage tomorrow. If you’ve noticed water stains around your chimney, don’t wait until Oregon’s rain makes the problem even worse.

Take a look at this chimney cap before and after cleaning. The cap was heavily restricted with creosote buildup, reducing draft performance and creating a potential fire hazard. After a thorough cleaning, airflow was restored and the chimney is operating much more safely.
