💧A sump pump reacts to water that's already gotten in. It collects it from the pit and pumps it out. That's its only job — and it does it well.

💧Waterproofing is what stops water from entering your living space in the first place. A proper system — drainage channels, wall covers, sealed joints — intercepts water at the foundation and routes it to the sump pump before it ever touches your floor.

Without waterproofing, your pump is working harder than it should, moisture is still contacting your walls and floor, and you're one power outage away from a flooded basement.
