Eight new hires entered electrical training with little or no experience. Now their final Field Readiness Test is approaching, and everything they have learned over the past two weeks is about to be put together.

Before the real test, the trainees practice planning their work, bending conduit, installing boxes, making measurements, and completing a full electrical rough-in under time pressure. Ethan reflects on how far he has come before taking another run at the project that will determine whether he is ready for the field.

The individual skills were only the beginning. Now they have to complete the entire process correctly, safely, and fast enough to pass.

We believe becoming a great electrician means never stopping learning. As technology changes and new challenges come along, we keep growing our skills both in the field and as leaders. That’s what makes this trade so rewarding.

We believe great electricians are built through great training. That’s why we invest in our own in-house apprenticeship program to help our team grow and succeed. Building people has always been just as important as building projects.

The eight new hires have only begun their journey into the electrical trade. This apprentice graduation shows what could be waiting for them if they keep learning, improving, and building their careers at Barts Electric.

Graduation day recognizes the electricians who completed the apprentice program and reached a major milestone in their careers. Family members, instructors, and company leaders gather to celebrate the work it took to get here—from their earliest training to developing the skills and experience required in the field.

For today’s complete beginners, this is a look at what their own future could become. Starting the trade is only the first step. Sticking with it can lead to a skilled career nobody can take away from you.

Some days call for a coffee break. Florida in August calls for ice cream and Gatorade.

This crew has been working their tails off on a major airport expansion project through some hot and humid conditions.

Nonetheless they’re getting it done, looking out for each other, and keeping the project moving.

This break was well earned. Hang tough and keep up the great work!

There's just something satisfying about seeing a project all lit up for the first time.

After months of planning, coordination, and a whole lot of hard work, this new elementary school in Florida is getting close to the finish line. Seeing the building glowing after dark, along with the athletic fields lit up and ready for action, is one of those moments that reminds you why you do what you do.

A lot of good people had a hand in making this project happen. We're grateful to the general contractor and all of the trade partners who worked alongside us, and we're especially proud of our Barts Electric team for the quality work they've put into this school from day one.

Before long, these classrooms will be filled with students, the hallways will be busy, and those fields will be full of games, practices, and plenty of memories. It's a good feeling knowing we got to help build a place that's going to serve this community for years to come.

Nice work, everyone.

Thanks to the folks at JRA (JR & Associates), one of our valued lighting representatives, for treating the Kansas City team to a cookout lunch today!

Between the burgers, brats, chips, made-to-order cannolis, and a cooler full of Monster Energy drinks that quickly became the apprentices' favorite stop, the spread was a big hit. Mother Nature even chipped in with slightly cooler August weather and held off the rain just long enough for us to enjoy it all.

As if the great food wasn't enough, JRA also brought some swag giveaways and raffled off gift cards and other prizes, making an already fun afternoon even better.

We truly appreciate partners like JRA who take the time to support our team. Thanks again for the chow!
