Hargett - Construction and Thoroughbred Engineering extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the family of Larry Wayne Hargett, who passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at the age of 82. Larry was the son of Virginia and Lewis Hargett, and took great pleasure in continuing the family construction company his father started in Lexington in 1937. After joining his father, Larry was active in building diversified projects all over the Bluegrass. He was known for his love of the industry and close relationships that spanned decades.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from 5-7PM at Clark Legacy Center, Nicholasville, Kentucky. In honor of his legacy, Larry’s family would like memorial contributions made to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, Lexington KY or the Lexington Humane Society.

Thoroughbred Engineering is grateful to sponsor and support KET - Kentucky Educational Television in their SummerPledge drive this year. Jerry Kissick, Austin Dilla, and John-Mark Hack joined 2022 Summer Interns Sharathsimha Narasimha, Caleb Spencer, Philip Gough and special guests Layne Singer and Rahul Savalia to volunteer taking fundraising calls on the KET set.

Bob Ross made several mysterious reappearances last week, including one with John-Mark and HR Director Alan Sisk, and another wearing a Thoroughbred hat at an undisclosed location! Daniel the Tiger even showed up in a different neighborhood than where you usually see him. Best of all, Philip Gough actually morphed into Bob Ross right before our very eyes on the KET set.

Thoroughbred Engineering and Hargett - Construction extend a hearty congratulations to our own Jordan Haney on the occasion of his selection to the 2022-2023 P.E. program sponsored by the Kentucky Engineering Center. Jordan joins 15 other engineers from across Kentucky in this highly prestigious program. We have all known about Jordan's leadership abilities since he first started at Thoroughbred six years ago. We are grateful that his gifts and talents will now be shared with a statewide group of peers! Congratulations Jordan!

Thoroughbred Engineering and Hargett - Construction attracted an exemplary group of young professionals to our 2022 Intership Cohort. Members from this year's class recently made presentations on the projects in which they have been involved this summer. All of these young people have bright futures in front of them, and so do we thanks to their diligence, hard work and commitment to their professional development.

Congratulations to Sharathsimha Narasimha, Caleb Spencer, Philip Gough, Jacob Latham, and Matthew Hart on their individual projects and outstanding presentations. Congratulations as well to other members of our Cohort this Summer, including Tyler Ray and Kaitlyn Thacker.

And we'd like to add a special shoutout to the Mentors of our interns this summer, including Jerry Kissick, Jordan Haney, Daniel John Rehner Chris Kidd, and Mohammad Serajii.

Stanley is a Senior Designer working as part of our Structural Engineering group. Stanley brings more than 33 years of experience in design and drafting, including projects in virtually every economic sector. He has written more than a hundred different Revit Families and Templates!
