This bathroom was a tight space with a lot going on beneath the surface. Working with Restore Hope, we were able to give it a whole new chapter.

We opened up the ceiling, borrowed some unused hallway space for a larger shower and rebuilt areas damaged by rot before putting it all back together. The finished tile and fixtures get the attention, but there’s a lot of work underneath that we’re just as proud of.

Our crew donated a significant amount of labor to help make this project happen. We’re grateful Restore Hope brought us in and thankful we could put our skills to work for a homeowner who really needed this change.

Proud of our team on this one. Take a look at the before and after!

Some companies are great at tearing it out. We’re great at putting it back together.

This basement recently had a waterproofing system installed to help prevent future flooding, and we were brought in behind the waterproofing contractor to get the space back in working order.

There’s a little more to this one than just hanging drywall. We’re cutting each existing stud to properly install a new greenboard baseplate, securing everything back in place, replacing the batt insulation, then installing and finishing new drywall before painting the affected walls. We’ll also be replacing sections of the tile flooring that had to come out during the waterproofing work.

We believe in letting people do what they do best, and we’re grateful this homeowner trusted Skylar Alexander Contracting to handle the rebuild.

From opened-up walls back to a finished basement. That’s our part. 🔨

Meet The Bungalow on Bassett!

We’re starting a full renovation on this Bassett Avenue home here in Lexington. This one is getting the works, and we’ll be taking you along as we bring it back to life.

There’s a lot to tackle, but these are the projects we love. Taking an older Lexington home, working through what years of wear and tear have left behind, and turning it into something that’s ready for its next chapter.

Follow along. The Bungalow on Bassett is officially underway.

This is the messy reality of a true whole-home renovation. We are gutting this space and redoing the plumbing, electric, and flooring to build something incredible. I’ll be sharing the milestones and unscripted updates right here as the work happens. The Cottage on Cramer will be absolutely stunning 6 months from now. 😎

Safe to say we’ve been neglecting social media. Also safe to say, we’ve been staying busy. From building new garages to building spec homes for the first time, it was a busy winter. Spring is shaping up to be a good one too.
