Before you hire someone to work on your home, don’t be afraid to ask questions. Your home may be the biggest investment you’ll ever make, so take the time to do your due diligence. The cheapest estimate isn’t always the best value—choose someone you can trust.

Here are a few things every homeowner should check before saying “yes”:

✅ 1. Is the person doing the work actually licensed?
In many cases, a company may advertise that they’re licensed, but the person performing the work may not be the licensed individual. Ask who will be doing the work and make sure they meet your state’s licensing requirements. Verify that info with the South Carolina LLR

✅ 2. Are they insured?
Accidents happen. Make sure the company carries liability insurance so you’re protected if something unexpected occurs.

✅ 3. What do their reviews say?
Check both Google and the Better Business Bureau. Keep in mind that people are often quicker to leave a review when they’re unhappy than when everything goes perfectly, so don’t focus on one review. Look for consistent patterns in customer service, quality, and how the company responds to concerns.

✅ 4. What does the warranty actually cover?
Ask these questions:
• Does the warranty cover parts only, or both parts and labor?
• How long does the warranty last?

Choosing a contractor isn’t just about price—it’s about protecting your home and your investment.

We just wanted to assure anyone waiting, you are not forgotten! Because of the heat, we have been very crazy on the sprinkler side of things. We are just trying to prioritize calls. If it’s not causing damage…we’re plugged you in any available spot we can, as quickly as we can. I’ve been working till 7pm most nights trying to catch up. We also get at least 3, problem calls a day. As always we appreciate your business and currently your patience as well.
