Worked an hour or two on the Amboyna piece yesterday. I thought I needed to accentuate the "little outlets/inlets" between the heartwood middle and the sapwood edge so the recess wouldn't detract from the shape of the burl. I think it's going well so far....but won't be sure until it's done. We'll see, as they say.
