Garage Door Frozen Shut? ❄️
With temps well below freezing in Central Ohio, garage doors can freeze to the ground.

DO:
• Gently melt ice along the bottom seal (hair dryer or warm air)
• Clear snow and ice before trying again

DON’T:
🚫 Keep pressing the opener
🚫 Force the door open
🚫 Chip ice with sharp tools

Protect Your Garage from Salt Damage This Winter⬇️

Road salt and ice melt are great for safety, but they can be tough on your garage door and hardware. Salt can cause rust, corrosion, and wear on metal parts over time.

To help protect your garage this winter:
• Sweep away excess salt near the door
• Rinse salt residue off the bottom of the door when possible
• Keep tracks, springs, and hardware clean and dry
• Avoid letting salt sit against the bottom seal

A little maintenance now can help prevent costly repairs later. If you notice rust, stiffness, or unusual noises, we’re here to help.

✔️ Disable auto-close if blowing snow keeps breaking the sensor beam
✔️ Check your weather strip — if it’s frozen to the ground, your opener will fight back
✔️ Clear a 1-foot path in front of the door so the bottom seal doesn’t freeze
✔️ Hit the manual release for a second — make sure it’s not iced stuck
