⚠️ Prunicola Scale Alert ⚠️

We're seeing a significant increase in Prunicola Scale activity throughout our area.

This tiny sap-feeding insect can quickly cause:
🍃 Yellowing foliage
🌿 Stunted growth
🌳 Branch dieback
❌ Overall plant decline

One of the biggest challenges with Prunicola Scale is that damage often isn't noticed until the infestation has become well established. Look closely for small white bumps or fuzzy white patches on stems and branches.

Early detection and treatment are critical to protecting your landscape investment.

If your trees aren't looking their best, now is the time to have them inspected before the problem worsens.

☀️ Drought Stress Is Already Showing Up Across Our Area

Even with some recent rainfall, we're already seeing signs of drought stress in lawns throughout our region.

Watch for:
• Dull blue-gray color
• Footprints that remain visible after walking on the lawn
• Thinning turf
• Slow growth and recovery

How Much Should You Water?

Most lawns need 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week, including rainfall.

✅ Water deeply and early in the morning
✅ Aim for 4-5 watering days per week during these dry conditions
✅ Measure rainfall and irrigation to ensure proper coverage

With drought conditions continuing across our area, staying ahead of your lawn's watering needs now can help prevent more significant stress as we move into the heat of summer.

🌿 Leaves are out—and pests are following close behind.

Now’s the time to stay ahead of issues like scale insects, which are just beginning to hatch and are easiest to control right now.

With warmer nights, we’re also seeing early signs of disease on plants like roses and hydrangeas, along with increased activity from pests like Japanese beetles and bagworms.

We use targeted and systemic treatments to reduce damage before it becomes a bigger problem—especially for bagworms on evergreens like arborvitae and Leyland cypress.

Bagworms typically ramp up in late June and July, so early attention makes a big difference.
