Friday mornings at Starbucks are always nice unless it’s problematic for business. This is a good example of what can happen when older units change their air curtains settings from fan to heat and the thermal overload decides to engage.

Small issues can turn into bigger problems if they’re not caught early. A simple cleaning to the Resistance wires with some needed maintenance and we were able to have the unit back in operation within the hour.

Often times we overlook small details, which tell the story. New Era Door showed up to this Home Depot at midnight with a reported “damaged lock cylinder“. Upon arrival we immediately noticed this door was far from
Level-Plum or Square do to a customer taking the “push doors open in emergency” sticker as a challenge, knocking this door severely out of alignment causing the CVR lock in there automatic Stanley Dura glide front entrance to temporarily seize in the frame. A few quick set screw and track adjustments with some TLC and we had this operational again before 2 A.M .

Saturdays challenge: an erratic unit caused by a broken neutral line feeding the hot line and creating a reverse polarity issue. We identified the fault, corrected the wiring, and got the unit and entryway back to 100%.
