Out with Summer, in with Autumn 🍁🍂 This is truly one of my most favorite jobs that I look forward to each season. The planters themselves are enormous and provide a 360° design style to admire from every angle as you walk up and down Radcliffe Street in historic Bristol Borough. It's an absolute pleasure to bring my creativity to such a wonderful establishment, and a historic one at that. Everything at KGI is just wonderful, from the staff, to the food, to the view from their back dining room, to the inviting sidewalk out front ;-)

Happy Fall and thank you to my friends who feel like family at KGI for another season of splendor. ☺️

Out with Summer, in with Autumn 🍁🍂 This is truly one of my most favorite jobs that I look forward to each season. A huge congratulations to my longtime friend, Nicole, on the recent purchase of her very own salon, Salon In Vogue . For about the 2 decades I've known her she's always been doing hair, be it styling, cutting or coloring her own, her clients, her moms - who is also a dear friend. We joked the other day about each other's talents and creativity, each saying "I could NEVER do that" and both replying "but it's so easy!!". Having so many friends who are true artists at their craft is something I love and appreciate immensely. So much talent, so much imagination, so much attention to every little detail, and the appreciation for all of that, especially knowing how much work, time, effort, love, pride, and sometimes just good old fashioned blood sweat and tears goes into the end result lol. Nicole, I am so happy for you and proud of you!! A fresh porch makeover is just the beginning of your venture and I wish you all the best!!

A huge congratulations to my longtime friend, Nicole, on the recent purchase of her very own salon, Salon In Vogue. May, June & October growth check-ins at KGI. This summer's planters were showstoppers!!

The right plants and the right care goes a long way!

A. Initial planting, early May
B. 2 week check-in
C. 1 month after planting
D. Mid October

If you have the space, either a large patio or even a second story balcony pot, let it grow!! Sweet potato, vinca and Swedish ivy love to spread out and trail, and they make a huge statement. For a more contained space they can easily be trimmed back throughout the growing season for a more compact, yet still impressive look.

That's a wrap! With the arrival of July my spring/summer plantings have concluded for this year. I'm thrilled with how this seasons planters turned out and have continued to show off as they grown in.

I'd like to wish everyone a great summer & a fun filled holiday weekend! Stay cool, stay hydrated, and don't forget to water your planters! With this heat I know you're thirsty, and so are they!!
