Two ways to pay for a fence. Once, or twice.

Once looks like this: posts set in concrete below the frost line, so the ground can freeze and thaw all winter and nothing moves. Gates still latch in March. The fence is still straight in five years.

Twice looks like this: posts set shallow because it was quicker. The first hard freeze lifts them. Gates stop closing, panels go crooked, and somebody digs the whole line out and does it again - this time at your expense.

Same yard. Same fence. One of them gets paid for once.

4. How deep are the posts set, and in what?
