Another near house fire averted 🔥 A service call was sent out to another company around this time last year because I was not available for this customer at the time. This contractor decided to use the ground wire (bare copper conductor) as the neutral. This circuit provided power to a window unit A/C. This outlet reached temperatures exceeding 200 degrees melting the mounting screw and the yoke oh the receptacle directly through the receptacle cover. Luckily this rental property is made with cinder block and plaster not drywall🔥
