Compass Award Winners ✨

At KCBR, our core values are more than words. They shape how we work, how we lead, and how we show up for one another every day.

Each quarter, the Compass Award recognizes team members who consistently live out those values through their work, leadership, and commitment to the people around them. Nominated by their peers, this recognition is a reflection of the impact they make across our team.

Congratulations to our Q3 Compass Award recipients:

👏 Brad, Skilled Craftsman – Carpenter👏 Jay, Project Director

This quarter, 19 team members were nominated, with 32 total nominations submitted. Brad received the most nominations from our Field Team, while Jay received the most from our Office Team. Both were recognized with an extra PTO day in appreciation of their outstanding contributions.

We’re proud to have a team that continues to recognize, support, and challenge one another to live out the KCBR core values every day.

Congratulations, Brad and Jay! 🎉

Happy Friday! ✨

When our clients purchased their home, the existing TV room didn’t offer the functionality or experience they envisioned. With a growing book collection and a dream of having a library of their own, we reimagined the space into a rich, playful retreat filled with character and thoughtful details.

From the hand-painted gold-leaf stars on the ceiling and custom star flush mounts to the wall-to-wall bookshelves, rolling ladder, and built-in window bench, every element was designed to make this library feel like a unique experience.

Color-drenched walls, sconces nestled along the bookshelves, and plenty of room to display and grow their collection bring the vision to life.

A library made for getting lost in a good book. đź“š

From an unfinished basement to the ultimate destination for entertaining, unwinding, and everything in between. ✨

This transformation brings together a custom bar for entertaining, a dedicated movie theater for nights in, a home gym, and a gaming area, along with a bedroom and full bathroom for added comfort and flexibility.

Designed to feel like a natural extension of the main level, each space gives these clients more ways to enjoy their home, whether they’re hosting friends, getting in a workout, or settling in for a movie marathon. 🤍

Before & After! ✨ A better floor plan changes everything.

This primary bathroom had the space, but the original layout wasn’t working hard enough. Two separate vanities limited storage, the unenclosed shower made the attic space above the garage feel cold, and the previous addition had cracking tile and other issues to correct.

We reworked the layout by combining the two vanities into one larger double vanity with generous storage and full-height towers, expanding and enclosing the shower, and replacing the built-in tub with a freestanding tub in the same location. A wall to wall shower niche adds integrated storage without sacrificing space.

The details bring the classic design together: white subway tile, a limestone herringbone floor, marble shower accents, polished nickel fixtures, reeded vanity detailing, shiplap, recessed mirrors, and painted wainscoting.

Same footprint. Smarter layout. A completely different experience.

Before & After! A whole-home remodel that reimagined not only the interiors, but the exterior of the home, too. ✨

As part of this transformation, we moved away from the home’s original Tuscan-inspired aesthetic, creating a more refined exterior that feels cohesive with the home’s updated design. We also transformed the existing deck into a screened-in outdoor living space, giving our clients a more comfortable way to enjoy the outdoors while extending the functionality of their home.

From the architectural details to the outdoor spaces, every element was thoughtfully considered to bring new life to this home while staying true to the way our clients wanted to live.

A transformation that goes well beyond the walls. 🤍

Annual volunteer day! 🤍 On Friday, the KCBR team spent the afternoon volunteering at Avenue of Life, supporting the meaningful work they do right here in our community.

Through KCBR Cares, we donate $25 for every repeat and referral lead we receive. Thanks to our incredible clients who continue to trust KCBR with their homes and recommend us to friends and family, we’ve donated $3,050 to Avenue of Life so far this year.

We had so much fun volunteering together and are already looking forward to the next one!

Earlier in the day, we enjoyed breakfast and gift bags from our friends at The Tile Shop, a valued vendor partner we’re grateful to work alongside, followed by lunch together as a team. A full Friday filled with connection and community! ✨
