A properly installed new construction window shouldn’t have air drafts. Period.

The window itself is only half of the equation. Even the best window on the market won’t perform the way it’s designed to if it isn’t installed correctly.

A quality installation means:
✔️ A properly flashed opening to keep water out.
✔️ The window is installed level, plumb, and square.
✔️ Insulation is applied correctly around the frame without overpacking it.
✔️ The window is sealed to prevent unwanted air infiltration.

If you can feel air coming around a brand-new window, that’s not something you should just “live with.” A properly installed new construction window should create a tight, weather-resistant seal that helps keep your home comfortable year-round.
