Princeton Design-Build firm, is hiring a full-time Architectural Intern/Junior Architect for Sterling, VA office. Working with the managing principal and project team, this position will require you to be responsible for coordinating projects from inception to completion as well as construction project management tasks. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working on and coordinating project teams for multiple projects simultaneously.
• Managing and assisting in all phases of projects including project set-up and schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
• Establish detailed cost budgeting and track financial performance of both current and potential projects.
• Assisting to manage and coordinate all bids, cost estimating, and written proposals.
• Coordinates project teams' work to ensure timely and complete submission of documents.
• Managing client relationships.
• Identifies and pursues new business opportunities with both existing and potential clients.

Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or equivalent.
• 3-6 years of experience producing commercial projects.
• Currently enrolled or looking to enroll in IDP process.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available for this position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Extensive knowledge of the commercial architecture and/or design industry including materials, furnishings and construction methods related to commercial architecture.
• Broad knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirements.
• Proven ability to write and negotiate contracts and proposals for services, consultants and contractors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, and Adobe Pro.
• Knowledge of Revit, 3-D Modelling programs, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred but not required.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation and graphic communication skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize diverse responsibilities within allotted time and/or budget.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines without compromising design intent or internal relationships.
