Our vacuum truck operators perform services that include utility location, potholing, trenching, and debris cleanup. The Position: We’re looking for a CDL Class B Vacuum Truck Driver and Operator, to work as part of a two-person vacuum excavation team. We are looking for qualified candidates that can quickly move into leadership positions. Commercial construction or heavy equipment operation experience is preferred.
We offer
$24-32/hr pay range based on prior experience
Full and part-time openings available
3 month initial hiring period that converts to full-time offer with 6 month sign-on bonus (full-time employees)
Benefits package including health care, vision, dental, and life insurance (full-time employees)
1 week paid vacation and 7 holidays per year (full-time employees)
Requirements:
Experience is great but character is essential. We are looking for someone humble, willing to learn, willing to take risks, and who knows how to win.
Qualities we are looking for:
Trainable and willing to learn
Jack of all trades, “knows how to do things” and get the job done
Mechanically minded, good with engines, understand how machines work
Easy to talk to, a good communicator
Willing to get dirty (we are working in the dirt and mud)
Ready to jump in and make things happen
Job Requirements:
CDL Class B with Tanker Endorsement
Experience on commercial construction sites
Must have a clean driving record
Pass pre-employment screening including background check, driving record check, and drug screening
Be able to work extended periods in all Virginia weather climates
Willing to take on other tasks as the business requires
Be physically capable to perform job duties including lifting of 50lb or more
OSHA 10 certification (BHV will provide this training if needed)
Preferred Qualifications:
Hydro or air vacuum excavation experience
Heavy equipment operation
Responsibilities:
Driving CDL commercial truck
Safe operation of vacuum excavation equipment
Interacting with clients professionally and with strong customer service
Writing reports of daily activities
Availability to work on short notice and ability to work extended hours

It's been an all-hands-on-deck kind of week! My business manager Thy is usually working behind the scenes, but today we needed some extra help so she jumped in my truck to help tow some roadsigns.
