🎓 **This Week's BNI Education Moment – Troy Ganson with Edward Jones**

**🏈 Would you put 11 quarterbacks on the field and expect to win?**

Of course not! You need different players with different skills working toward the same goal.

This week, our BNI Fast & Furious Education Coordinator, **Troy Ganson**, reminded us why **Power Teams are one of the most valuable tools in BNI.**

A Power Team is a group of professionals who don't compete with each other but serve the same types of customers.

Think about it:

🏠 A Realtor
🔨 A Remodeling Contractor
🏡 A Mortgage Lender
🛠️ A Home Inspector
🛡️ An Insurance Agent

Each serves the same customer at different stages, creating opportunities to refer business to one another.

But Troy made an important point:

**A Power Team isn't just a group of names. It needs a game plan!**

His recommendations:

✅ **Identify** 10–20 professionals in your contact sphere who serve your ideal clients.

✅ **Invite** them to connect and build relationships.

✅ **Meet regularly** — ideally twice a month.

✅ **Stay focused** with three simple questions:

• **I HAVE** — What referrals can I share?
• **I NEED** — Who am I looking to meet?
• **I DID** — What actions have I taken since our last meeting?

The biggest takeaway?

**You don't build a winning team by putting everyone on the field. You build it by putting the RIGHT people together and giving them a plan.**

🎓 **This Week's BNI Education Moment – Troy Ganson with Edward Jones**

**“To be honest with you…”**

Wait a minute. Does that mean you weren't being honest before? 🤔

This week, our BNI Fast & Furious Education Coordinator, **Troy Ganson**, took us back to basics with a lesson about how the words we use can impact our credibility.

Troy put the phrase **“to be honest” on trial**—and the verdict was GUILTY! ⚖️

We often use phrases like “honestly,” “to be honest with you,” or “in all honesty” without thinking twice.

But those words can unintentionally create doubt instead of building trust.

Troy challenged us to make a few simple changes:

✅ Instead of **“To be honest with you”** — say **“To be clear.”**

✅ Instead of **“In all honesty”** — say **“In my experience.”**

✅ Instead of **“Honestly, they're a great referral partner”** — simply say **“They're a great referral partner.”**

Why does this matter in BNI?

Because our success is built on **VCP: Visibility, Credibility, and Profitability.**

And credibility is earned one conversation, one meeting, and one referral at a time.

💡 **The takeaway:** Your reputation takes time to build. Don't let unnecessary words create unnecessary doubt.

**Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Let your actions prove your honesty.**
