With heavy hearts, today we announce the departure of our amazing Faye. We would looove to keep her here with us in Lee’s Summit, working with our amazing clients and bringing her beautiful ideas to life. But as we all know, sometimes life has other plans.

She recently made the tough decision to move away from KC, to be closer to family. And as a family focused business, we couldn’t understand that more.

While she’s not here with us in the office, she’s definitely still cheering us on along the sidelines! If you see her commenting on posts, make sure to say hi.

If you’ve ever interacted with her as a client or as a fellow business owner, please take a moment to give her a shout-out, show her some love. You know how much she’ll miss you all! Her huge heart and design aesthetic will be sorely missed.

Whole home remodel in 33 seconds. 🏡✨

This Lee’s Summit lake house got a major refresh, and somehow we squeezed months of design, planning, construction, and final remodel into 33 seconds. 💪

We remodeled the entryway, front room, living room, kitchen, sunroom, hall bathroom, primary bedroom, primary bathroom and closet. The goal: make the whole home feel happy, more functional and a lot more like the homeowners.

Think rich blues and greens, warm wood tones, custom cabinetry, updated lighting, new flooring, better layouts and plenty of personality.

One of our favorite things about this project getting to make this space feel bright, colorful and comfortable - to fit the homeowners' personality. I think we nailed it!

When you want a bourbon room with personality. 🥃⛳️✈️ So proud of how this turned out!

For this Lee’s Summit lakehouse, our homeowners wanted a space inspired by a few of their favorite things: golf, aviation, Chi Chi Rodriguez and a pretty impressive bourbon collection.

We wrapped the room in Sherwin-Williams Rocky River paint for that rich, moody green backdrop. Then we designed a custom bourbon cabinet around the space. Our carpenter brought it to life, Keystone Solid Surfaces topped it with black granite. Then Joiner Electric & Premier Lighting & Home helped us layer in the lighting that makes the whole room glow.

And right in the middle? The homeowner’s custom aviation table, because a room this personal deserved a centerpiece with a story. ❤️

We love designing spaces that don’t just look beautiful. They feel like the people who live there.

Heeere she IS! Same square footage. Completely different bathroom.

We loved getting to do this project for some incredible returning clients right here in Lee’s Summit.

Their primary bathroom had tons of potential, but an oversized built-in tub, columns, and a chopped-up floor plan were eating up valuable space.

We reworked the layout, moved plumbing, and used the former tub area to help expand the primary closet. Then came the fun stuff: heated tile floors, a freestanding soaking tub, custom cabinetry, a large walk-in shower, and brushed gold finishes.

Mel here, coming to you from on site. A beautiful remodel is great. But if the house is still uncomfortable when we’re done, did we really solve the problem?

When we’re planning a renovation, we don’t just look at cabinets, countertops, flooring and paint colors. We also try to think through the things that affect how the home feels and functions once the project is finished.

On this project, we were already opening up the floors and making major changes to the space. We knew there were comfort concerns in the home. Instead of going full stream ahead on design-only, we talked through less "fun" issues with the homeowner, like room temperature and space planning.

That can mean looking at floor squeaks, insulation, airflow, layout, storage, windows, lighting, or other less-glamorous things that don’t make the final reveal photos...

Our goal isn’t just to make your home prettier. It’s to make it better to live in. ❤️❤️

Aaahh - We've been dying to shooow you! This colorful hall bathroom remodel in Lee’s Summit, Missouri feels just as fun and welcoming as the family who lives here. 💙

This bathroom is part of a whole-home lakehouse remodel designed to feel bright, comfortable and full of personality. We used Daltile Remedy Oasis tile to create a bold blue focal point, balanced with Sherwin-Williams Snowbound walls to keep the small bathroom feeling fresh and open.

The custom flat-panel vanity was built in alder wood with a natural stain for a warm, mid-century modern look. We added a full-width bottom drawer for extra storage, and our carpenter created matching floating shelves to tie everything together.

The result is a cheerful guest bathroom that fits perfectly with the home’s relaxed California casual design. We are so proud of how this entire Lee’s Summit lakehouse remodel is coming together.

California casual, but make it Lake House. 🌊 You like?? 😀

Mel here... I'm obsessed with the color pops. 🤩 This is for our in-progress lake house project in Lee's Summit. Our awesome clients have a fantastic lake house, but it's stuck in the 80's. Incredible views but the interior feels yellow, beat up, and closed in. They want their space to feel bright, cozy and fun.

SO - operation remodel is a GO and we've been sharing behind the scenes in our Stories. Thought you'd like to see the aesthetic: Colorful California Casual Lakehouse. It's a relaxed coastal style, but with more personality than plain white-and-beige.

Think warm soft whites, natural wood tones, cozy wool + velvet textures, collected art, deep ocean blues, sea-glass greens, a little black for contrast, and just enough playful color to keep it from feeling too “theme-y.”

This is the kind of layered, livable design we love creating for families in Lee’s Summit and the Kansas City area. It's collected, personal, and still comfortable for real life.

Motherhood quietly weaves itself into everything we create — the way we care for people, the way we make spaces feel lived in and loved.

Beyond the job sites, client meetings, designs, and blueprints are reaching little hands, endless snacks, bedtime books, whispered prayers, and hurried hugs on the way out the door.

While building spaces for our clients, we’re still holding space to build a life of our own with our kids.

Today, we’re especially grateful for the clients who trust us to hold all of these roles — general contractor, project manager, designer — but always, first, a mom.
