When you’re raised right, you actually do things for the right reasons. And the right reasons are usually those that don’t just help yourself. Pretty sure I’m not alone in believing in the possibility of a future where people can keep their property values up and can afford “cosmetic” things like landscaping that do so because they aren’t in debt from hospital visits, a tax on something you only bought once, or just trying to feed your family. What a hard dream to make come true 😑 For the love of whatever reason we are here, can we just finally live like there isn’t one besides keeping our own species alive? (If you are reading this right now, you are apart of that species btw)

This giant “koi fish” is all cleaned up and ready for sealant on Monday! Had a lot of fun with this one and loved being able to get a little creative with the shape! The lighting wasn’t the best but there is a fish hidden within the stone work as well. I’ll have to try to do the sealant in the afternoon so I can try to get a better view!

It’s all put back together and sanded in! Just got a little grading to do around it and it’ll need one last decent rinse before applying sealant next week. The giant fish is looking awesome though and I can’t wait to apply the final touches!

It’s just about done! Should have it all wrapped up tomorrow and will be using a couple different colors of gator dust to help really bring out the fish hidden in the flagstone!

The last bit of edging is in and the first round of leveling is done! Hope I can start laying out the “scales” on this giant fishy by Monday!
