Though Construction Safety Week 2026 is coming to an end, our focus on safety never will.

It isn’t optional; it’s operational. Ongoing training, equipment inspections, and clear communication aim to keep our crews, our partners, and the public protected while also helping projects running efficiently.

Answer the call.

When a good friend reached out for help with a project at Rest Stop Ministries, we grabbed the skid steer and hit the ground running. After a little bit of excavation, earthwork, and grading, we were ready to set the light poles and install the rock.

The end result? A beautifully refreshed outdoor fire pit area for residents of the treatment program to enjoy during the cool spring evenings.

Rest Stop Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to comprehensively restoring female survivors of domestic s*x trafficking. To learn more about their mission, visit www.reststopministries.org.

Special thanks to Wyatt Marez and Layout Foreman Woody Kemp for going above and beyond to Pave It Forward for this phenomenal organization. 👏👏

In a galaxy not so far away...

From the core to the curb, our crews make sure the force is strong with every layer. Because quality you can see on the surface starts with what’s underneath.

During ATSSA-American Traffic Safety Services Association's Work Zone Awareness Week, we’re asking everyone to slow down, stay alert, and drive safely! Our ADDCO crew members, like so many others, put their lives at risk each day to build and maintain the infrastructure we all rely on.

So when you see things like traffic cones, flashing lights, and signs for lane closures, please remember that these minor inconveniences are actually serving a much bigger purpose—protection for real people who just want to come to work, do their job well, and leave safely at the end of their shift.

Let's all do our part to keep roadway workers safe because everyone deserves to make it home!

Construction safety isn't just about high-vis vests, hard hats, or fall prevention. In fact, safety starts long before you step onto the job site; it begins the night before.

On World Sleep Day, which coincides with National Sleep Awareness Week, we are reminded of the importance of getting quality rest. Studies have shown that sleep deprivation has effects similar to alcohol impairment, causing:
• Slowed reaction time
• Reduced attention and decision-making ability
• Increased risk of mistakes and jobsite incidents

In construction, where focus, coordination, and quick decision-making are critical, getting enough rest helps protect not only your own safety, but that of everyone on or near the jobsite.

Members of our leadership team had a fabulous time in Vegas last week attending CONEXPO-CON/AGG—the largest construction trade show in North America!

From exploring cutting-edge equipment and new technologies to connecting with manufacturers and industry leaders, it was an incredible few days of learning and collaboration. We're bringing back new ideas, insights, and connections that will help us improve our processes and invest in the future of our company.

We're thankful for experiences like this, and we are excited to apply what we learned to continue providing high-quality paving services across Middle Tennessee!

Next up in our Women in Construction Week spotlight series: Meet Hannah Castle, our administrative assistant!

After working part-time for ADCCO over the past several months, we were thrilled to add Hannah as a full-time employee in February. In this essential role, she supports projects, coordinates with team members and clients, and helps ensure operations run smoothly.

Growing up with both her dad and uncle in the trades and spending time around them working on and racing cars, Hannah learned early on the value of hard work, resilience, learning new skills, and working with your hands.

This upbringing led her to become a licensed cosmetologist. While cosmetology may be the "beauty industry," it requires planning, precision, rolling up your sleeves, and getting your hands a little dirty to achieve the final result—echoing the construction process. Along the way, Hannah also honed her skills in client care and time management, which are key to success in her current position.

Hannah shares:
"I’m blessed to be working in an industry that is close to my heart, having an impact on tangible aspects of the community, and learning new skills along the way. It's incredibly rewarding to see how our team works together to create things people use and rely on every day."
