I have been a guitar player and amp tech/builder for over 35 years. Thankfully, over the years, I got a lot better at amp work than I did at guitar playing. Since the first time I picked up an electric guitar, I have been on a quest for better tone, and it has led me to repair,modify, and build more amps than I can count. A few weeks ago a customer brought me an empty 1957 Magnavox home speaker cabinet and asked if I could recycle the wood and grill cloth into a head shell for one of my new D/Gas amps . I wasn’t convinced it was a good idea but I had to try. I think it came out cool and the customer was thrilled.

I finally finished my square button Ibanez collection (maybe). These were the hot ticket when I was high school age. I must admit, the green Overdrive 2 pedal is every bit as good and useable as any modern overdrive in my opinion. In fact, all of these pedals are still usable. Fat, smooth, and quiet. Especially for 45 years old.
